How the Full Spectrum Hemp Collection came to be.
More About Ned Full Spectrum CBD Oil
Full-spectrum hemp oil’s impressive array of health benefits and the growing number of research studies emerging in support of them have led to its mass adoption by users hoping to alleviate everything from pain and inflammation, to stress, anxiety, sleep, mood, digestive issues, and much more.
Full-spectrum hemp oil or extract is also called full-spectrum CBD. Full-spectrum indicates that the extract contains a complete profile of therapeutic phytochemicals, closely resembling that produced by hemp flowers.
Because hemp produces so many varied phytochemicals, together they can affect hundreds of different molecular targets in the body, which explains why they help with so many different ailments. Additionally, research shows that when these compounds are consumed together they enhance each other’s positive effects.
With over 540 different phytochemicals identified in hemp, attaining a true full-spectrum oil is both highly desirable and quite difficult. So, although many companies claim to offer “full-spectrum” oils, true full-spectrum extracts like Ned’s are rare.
This is because while it is relatively easy to extract cannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD) from flowers, more volatile compounds such as terpenes require special care.
Cold, slow organic ethanol extraction
Cold-ethanol extraction is costlier and produces less total oil than CO2 extraction. But it’s worth it because CO2 extraction requires some heat. Heat damages heat-sensitive phytochemicals such as flavonoids, terpenes, and others.
To prevent thermal degradation and retain the highest potency of active phytochemicals Ned uses a slow, gentle -40°F organic ethanol extraction method. Residual ethanol is then gently lifted from the extract leaving an aromatic, clean, and pure full-spectrum oil.
Extracted only from flowers
Hemp flowers contain glandular trichomes, structures that produce the hundreds of phytochemicals that contribute to hemp’s healing powers. Ned extracts exclusively from hemp flowers never diluting extracts with stems, leaves, or stalks.
Loaded with phytochemicals
Ned’s oils contain much more than CBD. Other active phytochemicals that can be found in Ned’s extracts include cannabinoids such as cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBD), and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), terpenes like caryophyllene, humulene, linalool, fuaiol, and myrcene, various flavonoids, stilbenes, phloroglucinols, and many others.
Made from organic, biodynamic hemp
Hemp is a soil sucker or cleaning crop used to clean polluted areas because it can absorb contaminants, radiation, heavy metals, chemicals, and other toxins from its environment. Therefore, hemp grown in a polluted area or exposed to chemical pesticides can be toxic to the end-user if consumed.
Every hemp flower that enters Ned’s Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Collection is harvested from an organic and biodynamic farm in Paonia, Colorado. The man behind the hemp is farmer Johnathan, a renaissance man who uses his naturalist wisdom, to grow the world’s best biodynamic hemp.
Biodynamic goes beyond organic using practices that treat the farm and its environment as one living breathing organism. This includes planting according to a biodynamic calendar and using hyper-local natural measures to maintain and restore soil quality, protect plants from pests, and ensure the highest level of symbiosis among all stakeholders.
Biodynamic farming is a do no harm and leave everything better than you found it approach. Every bottle of Ned you buy gives farmer Johnathan greater means to restore and improve the environment.
Third-party lab tested
Ned’s home state of Colorado requires potency testing for all CBD products to ensure that the amount of CBD listed on the label is actually in the product. We go a few steps further to test for major cannabinoid and terpene concentrations as well as potential contaminants.
Intent on making a difference
1% of Ned’s revenue is donated to 1% For The Planet, a group of organizations championing causes such as deforestation, climate change, nature therapy, and support for farmers. Ned also provides financial support to other organizations which have included support for firefighters, planting trees, military personnel, and a very cool youth-led nonprofit called PERIOD.
Handcrafted with love and integrity
Ned follows each product from seed to bottle. This provides for quality control at every step of the process.
From the moment farmer Johnathan consults the biodynamic calendar for an ideal time to plant his hemp seeds based on the positions of the moon and planets, throughout the plant’s life cycle, harvest, extraction, blending, bottling, and shipping, each hand that touches Ned products is full of integrity, has a connection to the natural world and believes in a “plants before pills” approach to healing.
If you want to support a small, local, group of people who give back to the environment and believe in plant-powered goodness as a first-line defense against common ailments we invite you to join Ned’s thousands of happy, like-minded, and caring customers.
