At NED, we believe our Full Spectrum Hemp Oil can become your “first line of defense”, the first product you reach for to help you improve and feel better. Our hemp oils, rich in cannabinoids (CBD) and other synergistic hemp compounds, work in concert with your body’s many systems to promote healing and natural, vibrant states of well-being.
Hemp has been used by humans for thousands of years to support health and wellness. Despite a common misperception, hemp oil does not get you high.* What it will do, however, is help bring balance (restore homeostasis) to nearly every system in your body.
The hemp in our Full Spectrum Hemp Oil is grown by Farmer Curt on his twelve acres in the fertile valleys of Paonia among Colorado’s famous peach orchards, nourished by abundant sunshine and fresh Rocky Mountain water. Curt shares our mission to help people feel better and live better through simple means and a deep connection to the natural world.
Ret and Adriaan, NED’s founders, recognize there’s something fundamentally broken about the way we, as a modern society, approach our health. Device addiction, stress, anxiety, and a laundry list of other ailments are now the norm. We are too quick to turn to doctors or prescription drugs and forget that the best answers often lie in nature. This perspective fuels the desire to bring the best in nature and deliver it directly to your door.
All Ned’s Full Spectrum Hemp Oilproducts are made from organic, whole, and/or natural ingredients. We only extract from hemp flowers, otherwise known as ‘buds.’ Other products on the market are often extracted from the stocks and seeds of the hemp plant, which lack the beautiful aromatic features of the flower.
Over the last decade, Farmer Curt has been researching hemp propagation and has discovered the best strains to provide maximum CBD density and overall plant integrity. All Ned products are created in small batchesusing a very gentle, ethanol-based extraction methodat -17° to maintain the healing profile of the hemp flower.
NED’s Full Spectrum Hemp Oil products contain no isolates or synthetic ingredients. A CBD isolate is created by separating the CBD compound from the rest of the hemp plant to create a concentrate. These CBD isolates are becoming more widespread in the market. mounting evidence shows that hemp oil products are more effective in their whole and natural state due to the “entourage effect” which results when other compounds found inthe cannabis plant are allowed to interact with the human body to produce a stronger influence than any one compound alone. At NED, we understand and promote this beautiful synergywhich is now thought to be behind the true healing powers of hemp.
Prior to cannabis prohibition, both hemp and marijuana were used to treat arthritis, pain, depression, headaches, nausea, and epilepsy. exciting, new research has shown humans and most other animals have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). In practical terms, this means that our bodies are hardwired, literally, with cannabinoid receptors to respond to and use the phytocannabanoids (CBDs) found naturally in our bodies and in hemp oils. This gives us a clue as to why these have been effecIve cures in the past. Studies show that small doses of naturally occurring cannabinoids found in hemp enhance the “signaling capacity” of this endocannabinoid system. Small, regular doses of hemp oil may soothe and tone our various body’s healing systems.
* One common mispercepIon is that hemp and marijuana are the same thing. Briefly, Cannabis is the name of a plant family which includes both marijuana and hemp. While they are cousins, of a sort, they have very disInct and crucial differences. The psychoacIve component of marijuana (which causes the feeling of being high) is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Marijuana has concentraIons of THC between 15% to 40%. On the other hand, hemp contains very low concentrations of THC (0.3% or less) and does not cause any psychoactive response. The Agricultural Act Of 2014 states that products with less than the 0.3% THC are legal. All of NED’s CBD oils are full spectrum hemp oils having less than 0.3% THC which means they fall within FDA guidelines and are legal.
Just for fun: Did you know that George Washington grew hemp on his farm at Mount Vernon to make rope, sail cloth and fibers for clothing? It was reintroduced in the fields at Mount Vernon in May of 2018. Hemp is currently used to make paper, building materials, oil, foods, texIles, clothing, shoes, bioplasIcs, insulaIon, and biofuel.
