Ned: How would you describe yourself?

Tara: I am regenerative.

Ned: What are the core values that guide you in your daily life?

Tara: My core values composed through kindness, to give, to share, and receive nourishment mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Ned: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Tara: My mother has always told me to reach for the stars and be strong.

Ned: What’s something you’ve learned this year?

Tara: So far in the last year I’ve learned that I come first, then those I love. If I am well then I may share my wellness with others!

Ned: What’s your idea of contentment?

Tara: My idea of contentment is to be nourished. I feel the most content when I’m in a positive cycle in my community through the act of giving and receiving.

Ned: What’s your favorite ingredient?

Tara: Coriander seeds!! For their acidity yet earthy flavor I am always enamored.

Ned: What’s a super simple practice you do that’s improved your life?

Tara: Just taking a moment to drink water and breathe with my eyes closed to take in the moment to regroup my energy.

Ned: What’s the smallest change you’ve made that’s had the biggest impact?

Tara: Not shopping at grocery stores, joining a CSA allowed me to finally cut off from major agriculture and direct my energy from local agriculture.

Ned: What’s something you want to start doing?

Tara: I want to start gardening again, this winter season is making me realize I miss spending countless hours in the garden. I really can’t stand cold weather so I dream of those days under the beating sun eating juicy tomatoes!

Ned: What’s something you want to stop doing?

Tara: I want to stop any negative conversations with myself, it’s always a cycle of moving past energy to welcome light.

Ned: What’s something not many people know about you?

Tara: Not many people know that I love to eat s’mores

Ned: What’s your favorite daily ritual?

Tara: A daily ritual of mine is waking up, stretching, and drinking tea!

Ned: Who do you follow that really inspires you?

Tara: I follow Leah Penniman who is a regenerative farmer and developed Soulfire Farm upstate NY. I aspire to have my own farm one day and her work has inspired the elements I practice, the urban farming I currently do and my farm in the future!

Ned: What’s something you’re grateful for?

Tara: I am grateful for today, for taking up space, and growing!

Ned: What’s something that would make the world a better place?

Tara: Liberation in the food space, this land is our land and unfortunately we are renting this rather than taking true obligation to nourish it.

Ned: What’s your favorite Ned product and why?

Tara: I love the CBD and Mello because cannabis is essential to my routine and my sleep is so off in the winter and magnesium allows me to peacefully rest!
