First stop: Cobán, Guatemala for cardamom
The green cardamom in Shuteye Chai is sun-grown and hand-harvested for the highest color and flavor on a small multi-generational family farm located deep in the mountains to the east of Cobán in the Alta Verapaz Department of North-Central Guatemala, the cardamom capital of the world. An abundant source of natural melatonin, this ancient Ayurvedic spice helps regulate the sleep-wake cycle and promote better sleep.
Next stop: Kaduna State, Nigeria for ginger
The ginger in Shuteye Chai is grown on small multi-generational family farms in Kaduna State in north-western Nigeria, home to the highest grade ginger where much of the indigenous ginger farming community is made up of women. Thought of in Ayurveda as “universal medicine”, this warming spice helps you relax before bedtime.
Now over to: Kegalle, Sri Lanka for clove
