June Harvest: Onward

By Rory Coulter
June Harvest: Onward

Our mission here at Ned is to help all people live better and feel better through simple means and a deep connection to the natural world.

We’ve helped a lot of people, but we also know we can be doing more.

We have been prescribing the healing power of nature — without acknowledging the multitude of barriers that have historically restricted people from accessing nature.

We have been promoting self-care — without acknowledging that shouting self-care at people who actually need community care is how we fail them.

We have been pushing environmentalism — without acknowledging that environmental justice and social justice are two sides of the same coin that can’t be separated when it comes to caring for our planet.

We are listening, learning, and taking action. Because when we know better, we do better. Here’s to a brighter future — and to putting people and nature at the heart of building a more just and equitable one.
